Dr. Wu is a Professor of Department of Materials Science and the Director of Advanced Coatings Research Center of Ministry of Education, Fudan University, China. After working at Penn State University for three and half years and Eastern Michigan University for half a year as a visiting scholar, he joined Fudan University in 1998. He is currently the “Changjiang” Chair Professor appointed by Ministry of Education of China. He has published more than 280 papers in English on colloidal particles and coatings fields, H-index=52 with more than 9000 citations.

His research Interests: Organic/inorganic hybrid colloidal spheres; Functional coatings.

1950, studied chemistry at the Universities of Muenster and Cologne (Germany). Three years development and production of printing inks followed and then ten years R&D manager and application technique with Herberts, (today: Axalta CS), on the field of developing waterborne paints and product introduction, pigment dispersing and optimizing paint production.

Since March 1995 professor for Coatings technology at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld Germany, with the main activities: Measuring and testing technology, rheology, paint production, application methods and coating processes. Retired and consultant since 03 / 2016

•  Besides teaching since 30 years numerous publications, 15 patents and 65 contributions in congresses and journals; organizing professional education in Germany, Poland, China and Iran.
•  2006-2011 chairman of division “Paint Chemistry” in German Chemical Society (GDCh)
•  Since 2010 member of FATIPEC-Board (European Paint Chemists Umbrella Organisation) and member of executive board, chairman of European Scientific Committee (ESC) in FATIPEC

Frank graduated from Shanxi Science & Technology University with master degree of leather chemicals & engineering. Since 2005, Frank joined Evonik, started with the technical support of Silanes and AEROSIL fumed silica in different applications. From 2009, Frank moved to Silane Business Line, he was responsible for the technical support of Silanes in different applications. He is currently heading the technical team of Silanes, and focus himself on the technical support in coatings and metal treatment applications and the technical development of new applications.

Jurgen Scheerder graduated with a degree in Chemical Technology from the Technical University Twente, the Netherlands, in 1991. He obtained his PhD in the field of supramolecular chemistry in 1995. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Coventry, UK where he moved into the field of polymer chemistry. He returned to the Netherlands in 1997 to work at the University of Wageningen. He joined DSM Coating Resins in 1998 where he has been working in the field of waterborne acrylic polymer dispersions. Currently he is the Principal Scientist and Global Science Manager Acrylics.

Horst Sulzbach is Chief Technology Officer of BYK and part of the global management team. Horst holds a PhD in Chemistry as well as an MBA. He has worked in the field of plastic and coating additives since 1998. Prior to his current assignment, he was CTO of ELANTAS another division of ALTANA. As Chief Technology Officer of BYK, he is responsible for the global R&D, its alignment with BYK’s business strategy, the management of the global project portfolio, regulatory affairs, and the analytical department.

Roger Shou is the Global Innovation Marketing Manager for Lubrizol Performance Coatings Group. Owned by Berkshire Hathaway Inc., Lubrizol is a global specialty chemical company combine complex, specialty chemicals to optimize the quality, performance and value of our customers’ products while reducing their environmental impact. Roger has over 20 years’ rich experience in the chemical industry covering roles in sales and marketing. He holds a bachelor degree of Applied Chemistry.

Prof Jianqing Hu is currently an associate professor of the South China University of Technology. His main research interest includes synthesis of polymers for coatings and adhesive, degradable materials and biomaterials. He conducted his research work in the University of Leeds, UK from 2007 to 2008. He then worked as postdoctoral research fellow from 2013 to 2015 in the Pennsylvania State University.

Jihu Wang, male, Doctor, graduated from Donghua University Materials Science and Engineering, visiting scholar of Eastern Michigan University. He is faculty of Polymer Science and Engineering in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Shanghai University of Engineering Science. His research interests include polymers and coatings based on polyurea coating, water-borne coatings, and study of structure-property relationship in polymers. He has got one hundred thousand RMB in research funding over the last several years. He has co-authored more than 40 publications in journals, 11 China patents, and 3 textbooks.

Dr. An Du received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University, USA. She is currently Senior Technical Service Engineer at Arkema USA, leading different new product and application development projects in solvent-based and water-based coatings. Prior to joining Arkema, An worked as a senior development chemist at Behr Process Corporation (USA), developing interior and exterior coatings by using new technologies offered in different raw materials. An is originally from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Hongbo Liang is a Professor at Nanchang Hangkong University, who got his Ph.D. for Polymer chemistry and physics at University of Science and Technology of P.R. China in 2005. From July, 2005 until now he works at School of Material Science and Engineering in Nanchang Hangkong University. From June, 2013 until July, 2014 he worked at Prof. Bowman’s group as a visiting scholar in University of Colorado at boulder. His major research interest is new UV curable resin, waterborne coating and organic/inorganic hybrid.
